I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bern, studying how
psychological treatments are tested in clinical trials. In 2026, I
completed a PhD at King's College London based in a randomised
controlled trial for trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy
for psychosis.
My broad interests are in clinical psychology and research practices.
Currently, I work on two main questions:
(1) How do we test that psychological treatments work?
(2) How effective are normal scientific practices at generating
cumulative knowledge?
We look at both in the QUEST project, by studying how estimates of
psychological intervention efficacy are impacted by subtle methodological
trade-offs. This metaresearch investigation of measurement will help
translate science into clinical practice.
Aside from my own work, I value working in and contributing to a positive,
inclusive research culture. For people early in their career,
particularly from groups under-represented in academia, it can be hard
to reach out. If this is you, please do
contact me to discuss research or careers.
